The first of the workshops will be held on May 18th-19th 2025 and will be focused on the fascinating world of fish!

Fish Family Characteristics and Ecology

One of the cornerstone sessions of the workshop will focus on the family characteristics and ecology of fishes. Participants will learn about the diverse range of fish families, their distinctive traits, and their roles in aquatic ecosystems. Topics will include:

  • Ecological niches and the importance of fishes in maintaining healthy marine ecosystems.
  • The impact of environmental changes on fish populations and their habitats.

Coral Reef Workshop at Papua Paradise Eco Resort: 17th – 31st May 2025

Each participant will receive a comprehensive workshop booklet containing detailed notes and resources on fish family characteristics, ecology, species identification, and database handling. You will also find practical tips for conducting fieldwork and underwater observations, and information on further reading and research opportunities.

Upon completion of the workshop, participants will also receive a certificate of participation, recognizing their effort and knowledge gained during the event.
